I'd like to include a message to the recipient. How do I do this?
Add your products to your cart and click on 'Cart'. You'll see a little box for 'Special Instructions' - just write your message in there and it'll come through with your order. Or email us shop@centurygeneralstore.com with your order number if you'd prefer.
I need a quick gift! What are my options?
We have a speedy turnaround and aim to post out your order the day after you place it online.
Or have a look at our Alternatives to Physical Gifts - you'll find ideas for gifts that can be arranged quickly and don't involve postage, and you can always email us shop@centurygeneralstore.com if you need them faster than 48 hours notice, we'll do our best!
Do you sell gift vouchers?
We do! You can choose from an email-voucher or a voucher sent through the post. Both are valid on anything in the online store and valid for one year.
What occasions are your care packages suitable for?
We're all about timeless gifts without any gimmicks, so our winter collection is suitable for any occasion, with the focus on seasons rather than particular days. Our care packages are suitable for birthdays, for just becauses, for celebrations, anything!
I'd prefer to put together my own care package, or I just want to buy one thing!

How will I know once my order's been shipped?
We'll send you an email once we're putting your order together, to let you know when we'll be posting it out. We also email you the tracking details once it's been posted.
Do you ship outside the UK?
We only ship within the UK. If you need help finding a similar small business in a different country, just shout, we might be able to suggest someone awesome we've come across.

What packaging do you use?
We use recycled cardboard boxes that you can reuse, packaging peanuts that you can dissolve in water or pop in the compost bin, and fabric wrap that you can repurpose. For decoration we use dried flowers and petals.
Is your packaging plastic free?
Yes. We are committed to making sure that every bit of packaging that we send into your home can be either composted, reused, repurposed or recycled, so that we don't make you responsible for putting anything in the landfill. We are also committed to carefully sourcing our products from makers who are committed custodians of our planet.
Are all your products vegan-friendly?
Yes!
